The 200 horsepower variable speed, turbine cooling system is designed to reduce thermal gradients prior to computer programmed latter-stage cooling rates. Carburizing is the addition of carbon to the surface of low-carbon steels at temperatures generally between 1560\u00b0F and 1740\u00b0F.
